Barbecued Beef Jerky Recipe

Ingredients

Lean beef (fland, round or sirloin tip)

Catsup

Red wine vinegar

Brown sugar

Worcestershire sauce

Dry mustard

Onion powder

Salt

Cracked pepper Dash hot pepper sauce

Directions

  1. Cut beef into strips 1/2 inch thick.
  2. Combine all marinade ingredients in a large glass baking dish.
  3. Add strips of beef, cover and refrigerate overnight.
  4. Drain beef slices.
  5. Dry in an electric dehydrator at 145 until pliable.
  6. Package in home canning jars, food-grade plastic bags or seal-by-heat food storage bags.
